I been enjoying playing Fallout 3 lately. It's become my new flavor of the week. There's just something exhilarating about taking your character through a post-apocalyptic world blowing up mutated bad guys. I especially love the quests that you're given. Today I was given a quest where my main objective was to retrieve a stolen item the hints given for me was to simply be stealthy about my approach and have minimal conflict with the enemy. But because all of my skill points have been dropped into my gun and explosive skills rather than things like "Sneak" or "Lock Pick ", I took advantage of my character being a tank and ran right into the heart of the mission objectives area and blew everything to heck! Not only did it save time but it provided much more fun, and I still got paid in cash and experience points for doing things my way.

There was another time where I was nearly finished off by the enemy and one of my character's "Perks" called "Mysterious Stranger" kicked in and my mysterious friend appeared with his .44 Magnum and saved my butt! I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that he didn't bother to show up earlier, but only when I had less than 10% of my overall health left. Talk about wasting until the last moment! There's a few downloadable add-ons that I have bought that have only expanded the scope and longevity of the game. One of the add-ons puts my character into a murky swamp, another puts me in a post-war Pittsburgh, and another even puts me into an alien spaceship! I'm not surprised that this game won Game Of The Year some so many places that give reviews. I plan on this being a game I look back on in 10 years as a true classic.
